These terms govern your use of strayshome.com (the "website"), operated by Strays Home Animal Rescue Foundation ("Strays Home", "we", "us", "our"), a non-profit animal welfare organisation based at Pind Sangrial, Shah Allah Ditta, Islamabad, Pakistan. By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

1. Who we are and what this website is for

This website exists to share information about our animal rescue work, to invite donations and support, and to help members of the public report animals in distress. It is an informational website. It does not process payments, host user accounts, or sell anything.

2. Donations

• Donations to Strays Home are voluntary gifts made to support animal welfare work.
• Donations made by bank transfer go directly to our bank account. Donations made through third-party platforms such as GoFundMe are subject to those platforms' own terms, fees and policies.
• Unless you have agreed a specific restriction with us in writing, we allocate donations to wherever the need is greatest. If the specific animal or case you named is already funded, we will apply your donation to the next animal in greatest need.
• Donations are generally non-refundable, as funds are usually committed to treatment and care quickly. If you have made a genuine error such as a duplicate or incorrect transfer, contact us at strayshomeanimalrescue@gmail.com within 7 days and we will do our best to resolve it.
• We do not provide tax advice. Whether a donation is deductible depends on your jurisdiction and circumstances.
• We will never contact you asking for your card number, CVV, PIN, OTP or online banking password. Only the payment details published on this website and on our official Instagram profile are ours.

3. Adoption

• Submitting an adoption enquiry does not reserve an animal or create any obligation on either side.
• We assess every applicant and may decline any application, at our discretion and without giving reasons, where we believe it is not in the animal's best interest.
• Adopters are asked to sign an adoption agreement. Animals must not be sold, used for breeding, guarding, fighting, or given away to a third party. If an adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to us.
• We share the health and behavioural information known to us in good faith, but we cannot guarantee an animal's future health, temperament or behaviour. Rescued animals may have unknown histories.
• Once an animal is adopted, its care, safety and any resulting costs or liabilities become the adopter's responsibility.

4. Reporting animals and rescue requests

• We are a small, volunteer-run organisation with limited vehicles, funds and capacity. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to respond to any specific report, or respond within any particular time.
• Any first-aid or handling guidance on this website is general information, not veterinary advice. Always prioritise your own safety; injured animals may bite or scratch.
• You are responsible for your own actions when handling or transporting an animal. Seek medical attention immediately if you are bitten or scratched.

5. Volunteering and fostering

• Volunteers and foster carers act in a voluntary capacity. Nothing on this website creates an employment relationship, and no wages or benefits are payable.
• Volunteers must follow our safety instructions and animal-handling guidance on site, and must be 16 or over unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Foster carers agree to return the animal to us on request and not to rehome, sell or release it themselves.

6. Content and intellectual property

• The Strays Home name, logo, text, photographs and design on this website belong to Strays Home Animal Rescue Foundation or are used with permission.
• You may share and link to our content, including on social media, for non-commercial awareness and fundraising purposes, provided you credit Strays Home and do not alter the content misleadingly.
• You may not use our name, logo or photographs to solicit donations, imply endorsement, or for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.
• If you send us photographs or videos (for example, of an animal you have found), you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us permission to use them in our rescue records and awareness materials. Tell us if you would prefer we did not.

7. Third-party links

This website links to third-party services including Instagram, WhatsApp, GoFundMe and Google Maps. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, fees or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

8. Accuracy and availability

We try to keep the information on this website accurate and current, including impact figures, costs and bank details, but we make no warranty that it is complete or error-free. Cost figures are indicative and vary case by case. The website is provided "as is" and may be unavailable from time to time. Always verify payment details on your own banking screen before confirming a transfer, and contact us if anything looks wrong.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strays Home, its trustees, volunteers and representatives are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, from reliance on information published here, or from your interaction with any animal. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Conduct

Please do not use our contact channels to send abusive, threatening or fraudulent messages, to spam us, or to attempt to interfere with the website. We reserve the right to block contact and to report unlawful behaviour to the authorities.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Islamabad shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
