1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Information you send us — your name, phone number, email address, location and message content when you contact us, apply to adopt, volunteer or foster, or report an animal.
• Donation information — the donor name, amount, date and reference that appear on our bank statement or GoFundMe dashboard, plus any receipt you send us.
• Photos and videos — media you send us of an animal you have found or of an animal you adopted or fostered.
• Basic server logs — this site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which records standard technical information such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability. We do not have access to individual visitor logs.

3. What we do not collect

• We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
• We do not set any cookies of our own.
• We never ask for, want, or store your card number, CVV, PIN, OTP or banking password. Anyone claiming to be us and asking for those is committing fraud — please report it to us immediately.

4. How the form on this site works

The adoption form submits the details you enter to Formspree, which forwards them to Strays Home by email. The website itself does not store form submissions.

5. How we use your information

• To reply to you, and to arrange rescues, adoptions, fostering or volunteering.
• To acknowledge donations, keep accurate financial records, and send you updates about the animals you have supported.
• To keep records of an animal's history, medical care and placement.
• To share rescue stories and appeals on our website and social media. We use first names or no names at all, and we ask before identifying you personally.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary: with the veterinary clinics treating an animal you reported or adopted; with our bank or GoFundMe for the purpose of processing a donation; and where we are legally required to do so.

7. Third-party services

We link to Instagram, WhatsApp, GoFundMe, Google Maps and Google Fonts. When you use those links or load those resources, the relevant provider may collect data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Google Fonts is loaded to render this site's typefaces.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept only as long as they are useful. Adoption, foster and donation records are kept for as long as needed for the animal's welfare and for our financial and legal records, and then deleted or anonymised.

9. Keeping it safe

Access to our email, records and messaging accounts is limited to the volunteers who need it. We take reasonable precautions, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent to us over the internet.

10. Your choices

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop contacting you. Email strayshomeanimalrescue@gmail.com and we will act on it as quickly as we reasonably can.

11. Children

This website is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If a child has sent us details, contact us and we will delete them.

Any changes will be published on this page with an updated date at the top.
