The plight of stray animals in the twin cities is almost unbelievable, dozens of stray animals are reported injured or sick every day. Many of these cases are hit-and-runs, where innocent strays have been mercilessly hit by speeding or reckless drivers and are left to die on the road. Many times these poor animals suffer for hours before someone reports the case to Strays Home Rehabilitation Shelter or any other animal rescue help group. Another major constitute of the rescues is abandoned pets, companion animals that either got sick or simply outlived their entertainment factor for owners and have been thrown out.
