About us
Find out who we are and what we do
Strays Home Rehabilitation Shelter was established in 2017 with the aim to provide veterinary care & shelter to sick, injured and abused animals of Rawalpindi, Islamabad & surroundings. Since then thousands of felines, canines, birds and equines have been treated and kept under professional care for rehabilitation.
The shelter was relocated to Islamabad in 2020 and later registered with SECP under section 42 as Strays Home Animal Rescue Foundation.
We are the first and so far only registered Animal Rescue & Shelter Non-Profit Organisation in the capital with currently over a hundred dogs & cats being treated & rehabilitated at our facility.
We advocate coexistence with companion animals by regularly interacting and engaging with the community, and carrying out spay/ neuter campaigns in densely populated areas. We condemn poisoning or shooting of stray dogs soliciting humane methods of controlling their unwanted population.
Our Mission
The mission of Strays Home Animal Rescue Foundation is to enable and protect the health, safety, and welfare of animals in the Twin Cities by providing spaying, neutering, and other medical services. Strays Home rehabilitates animals that need urgent help and aid in controlling the local stray animal population. We advocate animal rights and promote community involvement, and education to encourage a healthy bond between the community and stray animals.
